Put out into the Deep

Every year from August till November or early December, the Handmaids of The LORD (HOLD) of Couples for CHRIST (CFC) give a Christian Life Program (CLP) to single separated women or widows, and married women whose husbands are not active in the renewal. This year, many HOLD sectors are simultaneously having several CLPs within Davao City.
One particular CLP is by the Central B sector, held at the 2nd Floor of the Davao Imperial Hotel in C. M. Recto. For thirteen (13) Thursdays (which started in August till end November 2013), a team and its participants meet to pray, learn, share, sing and give glory to GOD for HIS goodness.
Each CLP brings together women members who has served for many years in various capacities, and participants who may be first timers into the renewal movement, or women who feel a stirring in their hearts that is yet unknown to them. Both groups hunger for something holy and godly. All come to answer GOD’s call.
“Put out into the deep… (Luke 5:4)” is a call and a challenge for all, not just for Simon Peter.
Put out into the deep of one’s heart. One will find a void only GOD can fill. This GOD-made void will find human care never enough, riches cannot buy peace, social standing transient, and life without GOD empty. To the degree that one’s heart is open, and at a
pace one is comfortable with, can GOD act on a soul.
Put out into the deep of GOD’s heart and discover that everyone has a special place within – customized and fitted to one’s uniqueness. There are no outsiders in the heart of GOD, everyone has a rightful place no one else can take. In whatever state one’s soul is right now, GOD’s heart waits and is open to listen, to give comfort and counsel, to correct and offer hope. The heart of GOD is home to the sinner.
