A Walk to Build Dreams

A global walk simultaneously sponsored and organized by the CFC (Couples for Christ) was conducted Sunday, September 15th of this year. It is the 6th year of holding this event which had an increasing number of participants every year.

The day started with a 5 AM mass at the Rizal Park in Digos City which was presided by Rev. Fr. Kristian Peter Edwyn Dorilag, DCD. Following the mass was a 15-minute Zumba dance for stretching and conditioning before the walk begins which starts from the park, around LYR building along Poblacion and back to the park where a longer Zumba session was held to the delight of about 600 participants.

This event is being organized as a fundraising activity to help a group of student recipients who qualified for financial aid to finish college. They are selected students from SPAMAST and UM Digos College. The theme of the said event “We Help Build Their Dreams” is fitting for the activity. The participants registered ahead of the date and bought the shirt for P350.00. The proceeds will then go to the coffers of the organizers and appropriate amounts to the schools they chose to sponsor this year. (Blaze Cantaros)
