NCYM 2018

The Davao Archdiocesan Youth Coordinating Apostolate (DAYCA) participated in the National Conference for Youth Ministers 2018 at San Pablo, Laguna with a theme: “Called and Chosen” inspired from the Bible verse, “Just as I have done for you, so also should you do” of Jn 13:4.

The 5-day conference that started last September 10 is an Annual National Gathering of Youth Ministers to talk about Social Issues facing the youth of today and a Presentation of the Episcopal Commission on Youth Strategic Management Process.

DAYCA was represented by eight (8) delegates headed by Rev. Fr. Christopher Alcayde (DAYCA Director), Ryan Salaum (Archdiocesan Coordinator from San Pedro Cathedral Parish), Mary Ann Almeria (Youth Leader from San Alfonso Liguori, Mandug), Jerick Nacion (Socio-Cultural Head from San Isidro Labrador, Catalunan Grande), Aiko Vinuya (Parish Youth Service Head from San Pablo Parish), Jonalen C. Asares (Formation Ministry Head from St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish), Marie Cris Rebamonte (Parish Youth Coordinator of St. Jude Shrine Parish) and Michael Ondras (Diocesan Seminarian).

After the NCYM18, the Davao Delegates, together with the Parish Youth Coordinators are going to have a series of meetings to finalize the Activities for the Year of the Youth 2019. (Jonalen Asares)
