Pursuing one’s vocation
Diligence. Inspiration. Vocation.
Reymart Aparicio, 20 years old, is now a fourth year college student at St. Francis Xavier College Seminary.
He grew up in Brgy. Kantaon, Inabanga, Bohol. He sacrificed himself, left home after graduating in elementary and became a working student with the support of Fr. Danilo Dotollo and finished high school at Assumption Academy of Peñaplata.
He was inspired by the works of Fr. Danny, grew a desire to become like him and decided to enter the seminary.
In the seminary every September, there is a celebration of honoring and thanksgiving to the parents of seminarians.
This year, the Parents Day was celebrated by the 66 fourth year seminarians last September 2, 2018 with a theme, “Ginikanan: Kabulig sa Misyon Para sa Bag-ong Ebanghelisasyon.” It started with a Holy Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Orlando Angelia, rector of the seminary concelebrated by Msgr. Nelson Lucas, Spiritual Director and Rev. Fr. Dioscoro Saniel, Procurator with Sem. Alcris Panganiban, Assistant Procurator and Rev. Ramon Jamora, Dean of Seminarians. It was attended by the whole community with their parents, faculty and staff of the seminary.
One point stated by Fr. Angelia is that the family, especially the parents, have a big part in the vocation of the seminarians and he also emphasized in the gospel the importance of what’s in the heart, the pureness within.
The holy mass was followed by sharing, fellowship lunch, program and open house.
The organizing team was headed by Gerald Carl Lozada from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Calinan and John Lloyd Celades from St. John Paul II Parish in Ula.
This year’s parents day was the happiest for Reymart because his family from Bohol visited for the first time. (Gie Rhea O. Jadulco)
