Davao Mayor welcomes NCMC delegates

Mayor “Inday” Sara Z. Duterte of Davao City warmly welcomed participants to the National Catholic Media Convention as her message was read by Vice Mayor Bernard E. Al-ag during the Opening Mass of the convention on August 6 in San Pedro Cathedral.

Mayor Inday Sara commends the Archdiocese of Davao as the host of the 4th NCMC and the Social Communication Ministry for this gathering to have given opportunity for Catholic media communicators to further develop their Multi-media Ministry.

“The evolution of technology has been a significant tool in communication; the Catholic media, with the technology has platform to communicate and have brought a huge impact in shaping the lives of the people. This new approach in evangelization has managed to bring a new relevance in the modern world,” She said.

Mayor Inday Sara further invited the delegates to discover Davao in this Kadayawan Season in August; to enjoy the many things Davao offers — great food, unique events and various points of interest. (Leah P. Ibanez)
