A youth must know his calling
Almost two hundred youths from the six zones of Sta. Ana Shrine Parish were able to attend the vocation activities of the parish spearheaded by the vocation club and the parish youth apostolate led by Sr. Melanie Mangas, OSB.
The September weekends of these youth-officers were spent preparing and watching-over the vocation activities. Because there are six zones in the parish, the Parish Youth Apostolate decided to assign two zones every weekend for the video clips on vocation starting off with zones 6 and 1 September 10; zones 5 and 2 September 17; and zones 4 and 3 September 24. For three Sundays, youths from different zones would watch a video clips on vocation then would share their thoughts in their respective groupings after which there would be big group sharing. The topic for the groupings is “What is your purpose in life?”
The highlight of these month-long activities was the vocation symposium and culmination program which were graced by Bro. Roman Jamora with his 12 pre-college seminarians; 5 religious sisters; and 1 brother. Jing Fulvadora shared her thoughts on single-blessedness while married couples Mr. & Mrs. Bong Pretila and Mr. & Mrs. Rody Darang gave inputs on their married life experiences.
Every weekend, Msgr. Matt Gorgonio, the parish priest would share his thoughts on vocation by telling the young audience that religious vocation belongs to those who persevere in life and who are likewise not attracted to worldly gadgets, fad, and fashion craze.
