#DCHeraldLive opens Online TV
DAVAO CITY, Philippines – While our brothers and sisters of the Islam community culminate Ramadan today, the whole Christian community of the Archdiocese of Davao also celebrates the success of the Davao Catholic Herald’s first online TV broadcast.
Archdiocesan Social Communication and Mass Media Director, Rev. Fr. Ritsche J. Gamaya, DCD, opens the episode by presenting important church documents which highlights on the need to develop and maintain specifically Catholic Pastoral Communication programs in all kinds of media.
Presently, under the name Davao Verbum Dei Media Foundation, Inc., the said commission publishes Asia’s longest-running Catholic Newspaper, Davao Catholic Herald, and continuously enhances its social media platform.
The Social Media Ministry, headed by Perry Paul Lamanilao who is responsible of the launching, is one among the seven (7) ministries created recently along with Network and Coordination, Training and Support Services, Editorial, Research and Database, Sales and Marketing, and Planning and Monitoring.
