Year of the Parish in Maa
St. Francis of Assisi Parish started the Year of the Parish celebration with the Holy Mass officiated by its Parish Priest, Fr. Bong Gonzaga. A simple program was held themed as “Panagtagbo sa Gugma” (Unity/Gathering of Hearts). Sr. Alma Kinakin served as host of the program, while Atty. Arturo Alvar welcomed GKK leaders and members. He reminded all present that 2017 is also a year of BECs.
The youth leaders led the community dance and facilitated parlor games and team building activities for GKK leaders. The twelve zones shared food for community lunch.
Fr. Emmanuel Gonzaga in his speech reminded everyone of late Fr. Peyton’s message, “The family prays together, stays together”. It was agreed that every 13th of the month starting July this year, living rosary and holy mass will be observed as the Catholic Church celebrates 100th year of Mary’s apparition in Fatima. The main intention will be peace in our country. (Pamela C.V Millabe | SFAP SoCCom)
