Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang met with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) representatives on Tuesday, February 21, to discuss about the latest state-of-the-art technologies and machineries that will help alleviate the province’s socio-economic condition.
JICA delegates explained that water turbidity can now be treated using a clarifying agent to fit for human consumption, instead of using heavy and expensive machines. Also, self-cleaning toilet that features its
capacity to hasten conversion of human wastes into liquid form, and a solar panel converter which produces
higher voltage compared to usual solar energy to electrical power converters are highlighted during the meeting. “This is especially convenient to use in remote areas and during emergency situations,” Governor
Dayanghirang remarked.
In continued search for fastest method to reduce environment pollution, JICA ambassadors likewise presented subcritical plant that converts solid wastes like sewage sludge, medical wastes and plastic materials into fertilizer. This machine modifies 3 tons of wastes per hour. The governor, together with other provincial personnel, considered launching the said equipment in the province. (Riza M. Golez)
