My Uncle Father Hover

Dear KNOT,

Father Hover dedicated his life to God, the Roman Catholic Church, but above all to the people. He did his best each day to help those who needed his advises, he gave them his support and guided them to the path of God, without judging them or their acts.

But above his religious position, he will always be my Uncle Obs, a man who enjoyed simple things in life like family and friends gathering, good food, singing, going to the beach, driving his Volks, travelling…

He always had this smiling face that enlightened our day and surrounded us with joy and happiness. A smile that could change the whole world and our lives and which says that we have to remain positive and if we pray hard, nothing is impossible and we can face life with the help of God.

He is a wonderful Uncle and he has been my role model through all these years. He took care of me when I was a child, he gave me love and support. He taught me to be a better person, to help others, to have compassion, to accept people as they are and to love life… Sometimes it’s hard to follow his advises, but he also taught me to be strong, not to give up and to try to do my best.

Today my family lost a wonderful bother, the best uncle ever, but he’s now in peace in heaven with God, my Grandparents and his Brothers. “Uncle Obs, I will miss you so much, I love you and I’m so proud and lucky to be your niece Em Em.. Until next time we meet…” – Emy Jayme, Fr. Hover’s niece
