Fil-am visits home, volunteers in church media
God loves all of his children on Earth no matter who we are or what we’ve done. I genuinely feel loved by God and appreciate the many blessings He has given me. I was born with caring parents, a roof over my head, and food on the table. I’m very aware that most children around the world are deprived of at least one of these things. Furthermore, I know God loves me because he provided me with a good Catholic education. Throughout my scholastic years, I have attended private catholic school for intermediate and high school. I think that God’s providence for my parents to allow me to go to these schools was at the right time in my life. The adolescent years are some of the most crucial times in life where values and beliefs are solidified or tested. If I were put in a regular public high school in Texas, USA, I would probably be a different person. I am thankful to Frassati Catholic High school for providing me with a safe learning environment where I am surrounded by people who share the same values as mine. There, I am reminded daily to pray before every class, attend school mass every Friday, and take Catechism classes every day.
As my internship in DC Herald and DXGN begins, I have some expectations with me coming into this. For DC Herald, I expect to grow in my writing skills and deepen my love for writing stories. For DXGN, I hope to gain more experience in verbal communication. I want myself to be more open with my voice. I hope my involvement with DC Herald and DXGN for two weeks will make it easier to do things in school. It would be easier for me to do announcements on the intercom because of the broadcasting experience. (Aniese Jameson)
