UIC High is Reg’l Bible Quiz Champ

It was indeed a moment with God and blessings.
 
The UIC High Bible Quizzers, composed of Rhoegin Thea Nicol Gamboa, Michelle Ucab and Raven Jard Castaneda together with their coach Mr. Brian Payot grabbed the 3rd consecutive title as the Southern Mindanao champion in the recently-concluded St. Paul’s National Bible Quiz held at SM City Davao Activity Center.
 
Out of 19 participating schools in Southern Mindanao, 10 schools made it to the 2nd phase of the contest. A tough match this year, the organizers set new category – “The Bible Interpretation” where each participating student was given biblical text taken from the Gospels. The student must translate their interpretation from the given scriptural text through posing a challenging question or setting an action plan.

In the end, UIC High School took the championship title, while OLFA Davao Inc. and Colegio de San Ignacio both received the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

The UIC Bible Quizzers Team will face their match at the Battle of Champions at the SMX Convention Center Manila this September 17, 2016 together with the different regional winners in this year’s 6th St. Paul’s National Bible Quiz. (Brian Pacot | UIC Correspondent)
