MATI Carmel opens doors for upcoming feast
MATI CITY – The Order of Discalced Carmelite (OCD) sisters of the Carmelite Monastery of St. Teresa of Jesus in Tua Tua, Matiao, Mati City are cordially inviting all devotees of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, friends and benefactors of Mati Carmel to their upcoming fiesta—Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on July 16.
The contemplative community is inviting all to join the Novena Masses from July 7-15, and the Eucharistic Celebrations on the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on July 16.
Novena Masses on Sundays (July 7 & 14) will be in the morning at 7:00, while the Masses will be offered in the afternoon on Weekdays (July 8-15) at 5:00 PM.
The schedule for the July 16 Fiesta is as follows: 4:00 AM – Diana around Mati City; 6:00 AM – First Mass; 10:00 AM – Second Mass; 4:00 PM – Procession – Assembly Point: San Nicolas Cathedral; around the City’s main thoroughfare then to Carmel; 5:00 PM – Solemn Eucharistic Celebration.
Meanwhile, families, organizations, schools, offices, communities, any interested individuals are welcome as Sponsors and may fill up given sponsorship forms.or directly inform the monastery.
The sisters also assure those concerned that personal and/or communal intentions will be lovingly remembered and offered during these special days, as they also wish to extend their heartfelt thanks and God’s blessings to all.
Brown Scapulars will also be available. This scapular is a gift from our heavenly Mother and assurance of salvation. “Whosoever dies clothed in this (scapular) shall not suffer eternal fire” (This is the Blessed Virgin Mary’s PROMISE, made July 16, 1251, to St. Simon Stock.
O Mary, Beautiful Flower of Mt. Carmel, I humbly beseech thee from the bottom of my heart to help me; come to my aid and show thyself a mother to me.
