OLLP SoCCom seminars take off for 2016

The Social Communication Committee of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Bangkal launched its series of seminars for the year 2016. Scores of parish SoCCom volunteers underwent seminar on the Basic Orientation on the latest Guidelines and Norms on the Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban last January 10, 2016. This first of the series seminar was held at the parish hall with the blessings of OLLP Parish Priest Father Dexter C. Veloso, DCD.

“With our scheduled series of seminars set for this year, I believe that our service to our parish will be more colorful and meaningful,” commented one parish SoCCom member.

Among the seminars of OLLP SoCCom scheduled for the year 2016 are Seminar on the Basic Journalism; Human Relations Skills Training; Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Skills Training; and Seminar on the Laudato Si’. The OLLP SoCCom is currently headed by Vinny Bajo.

The Bangkal Parish, in coordination with OLLP SoCCom and PREX Bangkal, also set to launch its ever first parish newsletter, “Mary’s Trumpet: An Official OLLP Newsletter,” in February 2016 during its fiesta celebration. (Vonz M. Hijada | Vinny Bajo)
