Davao Clergy has new Officers

Members of the Fraternity of the Diocesan Clergy of Davao (FDCD) has a new set of officers.

During their first gathering in 2016 which started with a mass at the Mervillas II, Mergrande Resort. Along with the gathering is also the blessing of the Mervillas II Resort owned by the Evangelista family.

Archbishop Emeritus Fernando Capalla in his homily inspired the priests to “Be happy, rejoice, and be joyful because of the blessings of the Lord.”

Fr. Pedro Lamata said that the main purpose of the event is the sharing, companionship and support to each member of the Archdiocese of Davao.

“Maka-share sa among panag igsuonay, pag suportaay sa mata’g usa. Mao na ang purpose sa FDCD.” Lamata said.

The new set of officers of FDCD for 2016 are Fr. Zenon Ampong as the newly appointed animator, Fr. Proceso Gimeno as the vice animator, Fr. Edsel Paloma as the secretary and Fr. Marbendear Morallas as the treasurer.

The quarterly event was attended by different priests of Davao expressing their gratitude to the people who were present during the occasion.

“This is actually a gathering of thanksgiving or a gift of time the Lord has given us and also for the countless blessings that our God has showered upon us individually and as a community.” Msgr. Julius Rodulfa, expressed.
