Company takes charge of employees wedding
A company should not only oversee the economic need of its employees, but their spiritual growth, as well.
Twenty nine (29) couples, who are all employees of Davao Fresh Foods Corporation (DFFC) married on a wedding ceremony officiated by the St. John Paul II Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Pedro B. Maniwang last December 10.
Prior to this event, Fr. Maniwang has been holding masses at the DFFC Plant every 3rd Wednesday of the month. He always mention in his homilies that live-in partners be married in the Church. Being devoted Catholics, Mr. and Mrs. Leonilo G. Claudio and stockholders coordinated with Fr. Pete to hold the “Kasalan.”
All expenses were shouldered by the company, including the cost of food to be served during the joint luncheon party held inside the parish. A committee was created by the manager Engr. June T. Agustin. Ms. Jocelyn (Inday) Ferrer Seno took take charge of applying for marriage licenses, and other supporting documents such as Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from the National Statistics Office (NSO).
Mr. Claudio in his speech said that the company will still sponsor a second batch of the company’s employees to avail of the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony next year.
The newly wed couples expressed their gratitude to all who made the event possible. They promised to reciprocate mercy and kindness by doing their respective duties and responsibilities to the best of their abilities. (Julian Cañete, Sr./ SJPII SoCCom)
