Saints: Made Perfect in the Grace of God as Companions in Faith

Saints are companions in our journey towards Christ. As part of the celebration and dedication of the month of November to the faithful departed and to the saints, the Gallery of Saints Year 5 once again commenced at the atrium of NCCC Mall VP with 47 exhibited images of the saints. The exhibit formally opened, November 10, 2024 by the celebration of the Holy Mass that was presided by Most. Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D. the Archbishop of Davao along with the theme: “Praying together with the Saints.”

On the second day of the gallery, the 12 noon Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. Voltaire Dimol, Parish Administrator of San Pedro Cathedral. In his homily, he highlighted how beautiful it is to be surrounded by the different saints. This only means that we are not alone in our journey as pilgrims. These men and women came from different races, different countries, different social classes, yet somehow their lives are being reflected in our lives as well. Though they are far from being perfect, what makes them different from us is the way that they were able to see, receive and hear the call of God. The saints are made perfect in the grace of God through the ways of repentance and acceptance of the Lord through conversion.

After the Holy Mass, religious articles and sacramentals are being blessed by the presiding priest. At 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the Divine Mercy Chaplet was always prayed.

May the life of the saints bring inspiration to each and every one of us so that we may find the strength to continue living a life that is for Christ. Just like the theme, let us ask the intercession and let us pray together with the saints so that peace and love will reign over the world. (Allyza Hope Tabigue | SoCCom)
