The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) will hold its 2024 National Convention under the theme “Pilgrims and Agents of Hope: Embracing Synodality” from November 12 to 15 at the SMX Lanang in Davao City. This gathering aims to unite Catholic educators from across the country to explore how synodality can be embraced within Catholic schools, fostering a sense of communion, participation, and mission within the educational community.

The event kicks off with an exhibit soft opening and registration on November 12, along with an exclusive talk titled “Five Legal Hacks Every Catholic Educator Should Know” by Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada. This day will also feature discussions by notable Catholic leaders, including Most Rev. Charles Inzon, Bishop Colin Bagaforo, and Fr. Tito Caluag.

Key highlights include keynote addresses on synodality’s role in Catholic education by prominent figures such as Most Rev. Pablo Virgilio David and Most Rev. Julius Tonel, as well as a panel discussion on leadership, instruction, and collaboration within Catholic schools. The event also celebrates distinguished Catholic schools and educators with awards, such as the Pro Deo et Patria and Catholic School Heroes awards.

The convention will culminate in a closing Eucharistic celebration presided over by Most Rev. Mylo Hubert Vergara, emphasizing the collective journey of faith and hope shared by Catholic educators.
