Ready and Equipped to Proclaim

August 25, 2024 the St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish Buhangin’s Lectors Commentators and Psalmist Ministry held their annual recollection at the Parish Gym which started from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. For their recollection, the ministry experienced the Liturgical Bible Study (LBS) headed by Ma’am Carlita Leone, Parish Bible Apostolate Head. Some of the members of the core group from the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao (ABAD) spearheaded by their director Rev. Fr. Ritsche Gamaya, along with Bro. Concordio Pondias, Lay ABAD Coordinator also graced the said event and they also served as some of the facilitators for the LBS. The parish formators also helped in facilitating the recollection. The ABAD facilitators briefly explained the process of the LBS and later on the participants were grouped into groups of 15. In this activity, the LeCComPs were able to deepen their faith and knowledge as they were able to connect and relate the Sunday readings into their own experience hence feeling the grace of God.

Fr. Ritsche Gamaya expressed his joy upon seeing the eagerness of the LeCComPs in the conducted LBS. He also hoped that this won’t be the last but instead the beginning of the next LBS sessions in the future.

In the afternoon session after the lunch break, the LeCComPs grouped themselves into their own clusters having the chance to know each other especially the newly recruited. Fr. Diony Tabiliran also thanked the LeCComPs for their commitment and willingness to serve and also answered some queries of the members.

After the whole day recollection. Rev. Fr. Dionisio Tabiliran, Parish Priest also presided the 3:30 pm mass wherein the sending forth of the Lectors Commentators and Psalmist took place.

The recollection was deemed successful and fruitful all thanks to the participation of the 200+ LeCComPs and also the collective efforts of the LeCCom Coordinator Ma’am Preny Alinsub, Psalmist Coordinator Ma’am Veron Merlas and the Clusters 1-5 Coordinators.
