Lolo Nestor PSL GKK Sta Rosa Virgen Dolorosa Parish

A Life Well Lived

There is no greater way to live life well than by serving the Lord.

For more than three decades, Lolo Nestor faithfully served as PSL of GKK Sta. Rosa at Virgen Dolorosa Parish in the Archdiocese of Davao—longer than I have been alive. I grew up watching him serve at Holy Mass and preside over the Liturgy of the Word, inspiring me with the hope that one day I, too, would become a servant like him.

Those who knew him would describe Lolo Nestor as kind, generous, humble, and friendly—a virtuous man in every sense.

As for his family, he was a devoted husband to his wife Osing, a caring father to his sons Jojo, Etsoy, Yoyon, and Plongplong, and to his daughter Inday. He was also a loving Lolo to his grandchildren. A natural mediator, his presence always made us feel safe and secure.

On September 2, 2024, Lolo Nestor completed his earthly journey, leaving behind countless valuable and remarkable footprints. But the greatest legacy he left is the Catholic faith that our family now treasures.

This priceless gift has inspired us to strive for the same persistence and devotion that defined his life—a servant of Christ to the very end. Truly, his was a life well lived.

To God be the glory. (Jozeil Crodua)
