Celebrating Community and Talent on GKK Day 2024

On May 26, 2024, the GKK Day celebration brought together members of the Basic Ecclesial Communities under Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Parish (OLMMP) for a day of joyous activities and competition, all under the spiritual guidance of Rev. Fr. Jesus Samaniego. Despite the bad weather, the event showcased the talents and unity of the community.

The day began with a lively Zonal Dance Competition, where participants from various zones displayed their creativity and skill. Zone 4B emerged as the champion, while Zones 1B and 1A received consolation prizes for their commendable performances.

Following the dance competition, the Zonal Choral Singing Competition took center stage. The harmonious voices of Zone 5 earned them the championship title, with Zones 3, 2, and 6 receiving consolation prizes for their impressive renditions.

The first part of the event was held on the church grounds, allowing the community to enjoy the performances in an open-air setting. However, due to rain, the second part of the festivities was moved inside the church, where the celebrations continued with undiminished enthusiasm.

The day concluded with a sense of gratitude and praise, as the community came together to acknowledge that all their efforts and talents were offered “To God be the glory!” (Marilou A. Luzon | OLMMP SoCCom)
