Tagum Launches Vocation Month
Participants joyfully gathered at Christ the King Cathedral in Tagum City on October 3, 2023, at 8:30 AM. Priests, religious men and women, educators, seminarians, and students gathered to celebrate the vocation month launching with the theme: ‘PICK UP THE CALL: IGNITE THE WORLD.’
Most Rev. Medil S. Aseo, D.D., Bishop of Tagum said in his homily, “Hatagan nato ang mga kabatan-onan ug panahon nga mamalandong kung asa sila gitawag sa Dios…” Furthermore, Rev. Fr. Marlon L. Pates spoke to attendees during his 10-minute sharing after the Eucharistic celebration, three (3) main points in order to have good vocation, namely; GROW IN FRIENDSHIP WITH CHRIST, GROW IN HUMAN MATURITY, and GROW IN LIFE’S BASIC SKILLS.
A Dance Mob and a drama production were also performed by the seminarians of the Queen of Apostles College Seminary (QACS).
The event concluded with a thanksgiving speech from Rev. Fr. Paul John M. Banaybanay, the Vocation Director. He emphasized, “Promoting vocations for the Priesthood and Religious Life is not a one-man job; it is always a communitarian affair.”
From QACS updates: The Vocation Campaign will start on October 22-27, depending on further announcements and notices, in different areas where the QACS has already assigned seminarians to be the frontliners of the campaign – SEE YOU THERE! (Sara Mae Degamo Sotomil)
