SFAP Ma-a commissioned 28 new KOA servers
The Knights of the Altar Servers (KOA) from St. Francis of Assisi Parish Ma-a has recently commissioned their new set of servers to the ministry. Twenty-eight aspirants, who have voluntarily enlisted to the order a year prior, have met all the requirements necessary to be officially invested as bona fide servers of the parish.
The investiture took place on May 28, 2023, Pentecost Sunday, during the 9:00 am mass. The parish priest, Rev. Msgr. Paul Cuison presided as the mass, with parish vicar Rev. Fr. Ranabe Magallanes acting as concelebrant.
As the investiture proper commenced, the aspirants were presented before the altar. Alongside KOA president Darryl Jan Antecristo, they began pledging their allegiance to both the ministry and the church.
With the assistance of Fr. Ranabe Magallanes, Msgr. Paul Cuison blessed the aspirants’ sotanas and officially granted them the title of Knights of the Altar Servers. At that moment, the whole congregation applauded the newly appointed servers.
Eventually, a blessing was also given to the present servers as they renewed their moniker as members of the ministry.
After the holy mass, every server, new and old, celebrated with great pride and joy as this event sparked a new beginning for the Knights of the Altar of St. Francis of Assisi Parish Ma-a. (Alessandro Rikardo V. Millabe | St. Francis of Assisi Parish Ma-a)
