PREX Convention Highlights Evangelization and Harmony in the Family

The First Diocesan PREX Convention was held at Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental, spearheaded by the PREX Spiritual Director, Re. Fr. Allan Joie Nuñez, DCD, July 8, 2023 with the theme: “Ang Bililhong Kaakuhan sa PREX diha sa Piniyalang Kalihukan sa Simbahan.”

The attendees came from parishes throughout the Diocese of Digos, both from Davao del Sur and Occidental. One of the main activity was to go over the constitution and by laws and to ratify some new policies.

The program started at 7:00 am with an opening remark and message from the Core President of Diocesan PREX Eduardo Miego Jr. and the parochial Vicar of the host parish Rev. Fr. Antonio Sila, DCD.

Followed by the spiritual talk of Rev. Fr. Nuñez who emphasized the importance of good relation towards the creator, environment, to other people and most especially towards our own family. “We are all called to Evangelize with the Help of the PREX Family,” according to Fr. Allan Joie.

The mass was presided by Fr. Nuñez, to supersede Bishop Jimmy Afable, DD who’s attending the CBCP meeting.

During the mass the new PREX speakers and Lead couples were gathered for the investiture and send-forth ceremony.

After which the old speakers and lead couples renewed their vows.
