Archdiocesan Social Communication Thrives
Davao City — In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) President, Br. Noelvic H. Deloria S.C. congratulates Davao Catholic Herald on its 71st anniversary in his message during the opening of a captivating photo exhibit.
The photo exhibit, titled “Through the Lens of Truth: Archdiocesan Media Preserving Local Church History”, features a diverse range of images capturing the architectural beauty, antiquated newspapers, and religious heritage of various churches in the region.
“Just looking at the pictures we can already see the richness of our faith tradition and our ecclesial evidence and we’re given this opportunity because of the commitment of some people who really dedicate themselves to capture through their lens, these beautiful pictures and memories. We already have Herald for how many years, 71 years. Congratulations and Herald is still very much alive”, Deloria said.
Davao Catholic Herald Editor-in-Chief, Rev. Fr. Ritsche Gamaya expressed his gratitude for inviting him in the exhibit opening as guest speaker.
“I am so happy to be here. When I was invited, Bro. Noelvic asked pila na ka tuig ang Catholic Herald, we are celebrating our 71st year”, Fr. Gamaya said.
“We are happy to see that the predecessors of the name Catholic Herald is here, the Sentinel, the Taboan because before it became Catholic Herald, it was first called these names Taboan and Sentinel . Thank you really for inspiring us especially the Archdiocesan Commission on Social Communications”, he added.
