Walking together as one Synodal Family

April 02, 2023 was Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion. During this time, we can see crowds of people waving and raising their palms as a sign to welcome Jesus as the descendant of David.

It was a celebration that was full of joy and heroism but in the Gospel we have read that the very same people who praised Jesus were also the ones who put Him into death.

Rev. Fr. Chris Concepcion, TOR presided the Holy Mass at GKK San Isidro Labrador, Juliville, Buhangin.

In Fr. Chris’s homily, he highlighted that we as Christians must take Holy Week seriously instead of looking forward to the long vacation and beach plans. Fr. Chris reminded the massgoers not to forget about the real essence of the said “long vacation”. Indeed those days especially during the Paschal Triduum, the presence of many believers was seen and felt in the different parishes.

In the last part of his homily, Fr. Chris expressed how the clergy and the lay faithful are together as one Christian Family. He described this beautiful bond as a huge family who are journeying together with Christ our Lord. He challenged everyone to strive to achieve holiness together as one Synodal Family.
