Let Us Celebrate

The joyous resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ was enacted during the SUGAT at the grounds of San Roque Parish-Malabog on April 9, 2023 . The whole ground was filled with parishioners who were really eager to witness this once a year event of the church. Angels were gracefully singing Alleluia, praising the Lord for Christ is risen. As a result of the overflowing joy felt by the parishioners, the crowd shouted in singing and worshipping God, thanking Him for saving us from our sins.

Fr. Arnold Balaquinto, Parish Priest of San Roque Parish in his homily, highlighted the importance of not jumping into conclusions so quickly; but rather to recognize the entire story of a specific scene makes us understand its lesson and everything will fall into place. More to that, Fr. Arnold gave credit to those individuals who heartily extended their efforts from the preparation until the end of the Lenten Season. And since it was Easter Sunday, everyone should do “Pagmaya”, which means a call for celebration. He personally reminded his parishioners to celebrate in their individual homes, as Christ is now risen!

Easter Sunday marks the end of the Lenten Season, may we continue to embrace the joy brought by His resurrection. Let us go on recognizing the hearts of our dear brothers and sisters in Christ so we may be able to understand them. Lastly, let us not forget to reflect on our individual selves, as we continue to sail in this world, following the path of Christ.
