The Culmination of the Month of Holy Rosary
October is the “Month of the Holy Rosary” in the Catholic Calendar; during this time, everyone is highly encouraged to pray the rosary. In celebration of the month-long event, the various GKK members of San Francisco de Asis Parish, Tagakpan, engaged in the activities prepared by the parish council, such as praying the rosary in their respective chapels.
Now that the month of the Holy Rosary has ended, the SFDA parish held a culminating event to commemorate this month’s celebration last October 30, 2022, at 3 p.m. The event officially started with an opening dance prayer by the GKK Sta. Catalina dancers and was followed by the living rosary led by the GKK representatives.
Afterward, a Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Mario Holmina, OSJ, in which he highlighted in his homily, the importance of the rosary in our lives. Father Mario added that as we end the month of the Holy Rosary, we must keep our faith alive by praying the rosary earnestly.
The celebration continued with the coronation and the offering of flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Joseph Marello Youth and Marelletes of SFDA parish also shared their God-given talents during the culmination.
Finally, a simple salo-salo was held to wrap up the event. With that, the parish priest and officers were grateful for all the GKK leaders and members who took part in the celebration. The culmination of the Holy Rosary commenced successfully because of the support that they received from the community. (April Desiree Estipona | GKK Sta. Catalina SocCom)
