Strengthening Faith: SFDA’s Basic Bible Seminar-I

The various ministries of San Francisco de Asis Parish convened at the Tagakpan Elementary School Gymnasium last November 5, 2022 for the first part of their Basic Bible Seminar.

The Basic Bible Seminar-I was spearheaded by the Tagakpan Parish Council in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao (ABAD) formation team. The goal of the seminar is to deepen ministry members’ faith through the Bible. The seminar introduced the basic information about the Bible; it discussed its purpose and the techniques of scanning and reading the Bible using interactive activities. Most importantly, the seminar reminded the participants about their duty to live by the Word of God. The BBS-I ended with a Bible sharing where each group was able to reflect and incorporate what they have read in the Bible into their lives.

Rev. Fr. Ritsche J. Gamaya, director of ABAD, extended his deepest gratitude to everyone who actively attended the seminar. He hopes that the BBS-I be a guide for the members of various ministries to continue their mission of spreading the Word of God to their families and community. “We cannot give what we do not have,” said Fr.
