Pink and Emerald Green October

October, our Holy Rosary month, is also known as cancer awareness month. Each month is assigned a certain cancer and an identifiable color. October is specifically Breast Cancer awareness month in pink, and Liver Cancer month in emerald green.

Outside of its hopeful colors, cancer is still a fearful prospect for anyone. It is a death sentence to those who have it. Although a number survive, most do not. Government programs have so far been lacking, and support groups can only do so much.

What man cannot do, GOD can. Cancer survivors tell of spiritual awakening and reparative healing. Aside from the prescribed medicines and treatments, it would be wise to seek spiritual cleansing. A good start is sacramental confession and JESUS will dot the rest, HE always does.
