ASAC TIFI Produce 496 Graduates

Did you know that we have a diocese-owned technical school? Yes, it has been running since 2019. The Archdiocese of Davao through the Social Action Center has been helping the faithful learn skills which they can earn a living from. The organizing and planning began in 2018 together with the help of TESDA and people who have experienced running a TESDA-accredited school specifically teachers from Holy Cross College of Sasa. The Certificate of TVET Program Registration or the Technical-Vocational Education and Training Certificate was released on July 22, 2019 and it was in 2021 that the ASAC TIFI Assessment Center has been approved and accredited.

First approved trainings or programs are the following:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCI
  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCII
  • Domestic Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Servicing (DomRAC) NCII
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII

During the pandemic it’s easy to think that all activities were halted but TESDA continued in helping the institute as well as other technical-vocational schools where they released TTSP o Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program. Below are the number of scholars the institute has helped since 2019.

  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII – 102

A Joint Voucher Delivery Program also happened in collaboration with these schools: F. Bangoy, F. Bustamante and Leon Garcia which were able to support a total of 241 scholars.
