New Mercy Evangelizers to be Sent Forth at Macom
More than 20 lay coordinators and prophetic ministry heads will be sent forth as new evangelizers during the Mindanao Apostolic Congress on Mercy (MACOM) 2022 by no less than the World Apostolic Congress on Mercy Asia Episcopal Coordinator, Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D.
The sending forth will be done during the Eucharistic Celebration, presided by Bishop Santos, on the first day of the MACOM, August 29, 2022, at Grand Men Seng Hotel.
Divine Mercy Lay Head Coordinator for the Archdiocese of Davao, Ms. Joji Ilagan-Bian says they tapped speakers from the Divine Mercy Philippines who will lead the participants reflect on the theme, “Communion, Participation and Mission of the New Evangelizers of Mercy.”
Seven topics that will revolve around the theme include as follows:
“Overview and Elements of the Divine Mercy Devotion” to be given by Ma. Tita Bauca, CPA, DMP Lay Coordinator, NCR and Southern Luzon;
“The Sacraments and Spirituality of Mercy,” and “The Essence of Mercy” by Rev. Fr. Prospero Tenorio, Secretary General, WACOM Asia, and National Coordinator of the Divine Mercy Philippines;
“The Divine Mercy and the 2nd Coming” by Rev. Fr. Nap Baltazar, Assistant National Coordinator, DMP;
“Discipleship and Apostleship” by Most Rev. George B. Rimando, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Davao.
“Explaining the Faith- The Divine Mercy” by Msgr. Paul Cuison , parish priest of St. Francis of Assisi, Economous of the Archdiocese of Davao and Executive Director of the Ignatian Institute for Religious Education Foundation (IIREF);
“Living the Messages of St. Faustina in the New Norm” by Most Rev. Bishop Ruperto Santos, D.D.;
“Special Interest Topic: Social Media- Tool to Propagate the Devotion” by Aida Manasan, Producer and Anchor of “At the Hour of Three” program.
Culminating the 2-day Apostolic Congress on Mercy is a Eucharistic Celebration to be presided by Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao at San Pedro Cathedral.
Also expected to attend is Pagadian Diocese Bishop, Most Rev. Ronald Lunas and 18 priests.
