Institution to Minor Ministries: A Gift to be Shared

The Bishop of Mati Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo, D.D. presided over the institution of minor ministries of lectors and Acolytes to the Configuration Year 2 and Configuration Year 3 Seminarians of St. Francis Xavier Regional Major Seminary of Mindanao, on August 13, 2022, at 2:30 in the afternoon, held at SFX ReMaSe Chapel.

The eight (8) configuration year 2 and thirteen (13) configuration year 3 seminarians were finally instituted as lectors and Acolytes. Bishop Abel reminded the newly instituted seminarians to cherish this gift of ministries by proclaiming the word of God with sincerity of hearts, and reliving the Christian encounter of the Lord in the Eucharist. Bishop Abel was joined by the priest formators, diocesan priests from the Archdiocese of Davao, Religious priests from the Benedictines, Society of Divine Vocation, Society of Divine Word, Apostles of Jesus Crucified, and the Marist Fathers, as con-celebrants, with the presence of Rev. Renebe Magallanes who assisted in the solemn celebration of the Mass. Parents, Friends of ReMaSe, and other guests participated in the solemn occasion both in person and via live streaming.

In the evening, the ReMaSe seminarians, formators, faculty, and staff had their fellowship dinner by diocese. The San Antonio de Padua Parish of Agdao through its parish priest, Fr. Amado Arroyo hosted a sumptuous dinner for the Davao Seminarians. (Sem. Harold Jhon Gimeno)
