Re-Awakening Seminar in Mindanao

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal International Service or CHARIS Philippines conducted the Mindanao leg of its Re-Awakening Seminar for charismatic communities last July 7-10, 2022 at the Regional Major Seminary in Catalunan Grande.

CHARIS is a new unified service established by Pope Francis that restructures all CCR worldwide, into a service organism structure. A structure that is of service, not of governance. CHARIS PHILIPPINES National Service of Communion (NSC) on the other hand was formally launched and established, as the coordinating body of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Philippines, on November 27, 2021.

This 4-day re-awakening seminar is focused on knowing the Holy Spirit, its forms, manifestations and works. Rev. Fr. Bartolome A. Pastor from the Archdiocese of Palo Leyte was the main resource speaker.

On Day 1 of the Seminar was the orientation on the role of CHARIS throughout the country being the umbrella of the charismatic communities.

Day 2 on the other hand, focused on HOLY SPIRIT including how the Baptism of the Holy Spirit works which is common to charismatic communities.

On Day 3 was the Holy Mass in the morning and confessions which really prepared the participants for the solemn activity of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

And on the last day, the participants were challenged on how to keep the fire burning which they received from the baptism.

Almost 500 or more participants which filled the gym were very much grateful for this gathering because after a long time, finally they were able to organize and fulfill a charismatic event which re-awakened that blazing fire within them. (CMAC)
