OMPH 5Oth Parish Anniversary
In line with the celebration of the Five Hundred (500) years of Christianity last year with the theme: “Gifted to Give”, Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish together with the thirty-three (33) Gagmay’ng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKKs) came up with a project which is to give 25 kilos of rice (per family) for indigent parishioners identified by GKK leaders. As we are to celebrate our 50th parish anniversary next Sunday June 19, we have come up with a long list of activities which includes the release date of these gifts which is on Friday, June 10 wherein 500 recipients are identified.
After meeting with the Parish Pastoral Council together with our parish priest Fr. Cris Mostajo CSsR last June 4, these are the final schedule of activities.
There will be a “Free Eye Consultation” today June 12, from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, and a concert: “Halad Kay Maria” on Friday June 17, 2022, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM where there will be invited talents and participation by different parish choirs. Admission is free but with a twist so if you want to know what it is, come and join us.
The Novena mass began on June 10, 2022 at 5:00 in the afternoon. Each Novena mass has a chosen sharer who will tell one’s experiences of the various intercessions that our Mother of Perpetual Help has given granted. The themes per novena mass are as follows:
June 10, 2022 – Jubilee for the Youth
June 11, 2022 – Jubilee for the Frontliners
June 12, 2022 – Care for the Earth
June 13, 2022 – Jubilee for all parish leaders
June 14, 2022 – Memorial Mass for Redemptorist, RA, Benefactors, Parish and Church leaders
June 15, 2022 – Jubilee for all Devotees of OMPH
June 16, 2022 – Jubilee for the Poor
June 17, 2022 – Jubilee for all Redemptorist benefactors
June 18, 2022 – Jubilee for all Ministries
On June 19, Sunday, the procession with the participation of the 33 GKK patron saints and CSsR saints will start at 4:AM via the usual route of the parish. After the Pontifical Mass at 10:00 AM, parishioners and guests will have a long break and return to the parish gym for the scheduled “Pista sa Nayon”, a Cultural Festival night which will start at 6:00 PM. Witness the various festival dances that will be showcased to us from the nine (9) groups that will be competing. We are excited to witness the presentations because this is a contest with a meaningful prize to get so each zone is trying its best.
Indeed, the level 1 category of the pandemic has allowed the resumption of our normal and usual activities. We are rejoicing because we can now participate in our various activities to give thanks and praises to God for all the blessings and graces we have received through the intercession of Our Mother Of Perpetual Help.
