Good News for Senior Citizens

Q. What is the good news?
A. Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem to save mankind especially senior citizens from sin.

Q. How do we know he will save us?
A. Because he is pleased with those who love him.

Q. Who loves him?
A. Those who follow his laws.

Q. What laws?
A. The first law was the Ten Commandments and the first three commandments serves as the foundation.

Q. There were many laws and rules in the old and the new testaments. What are the most important?
A. Jesus was asked about this. His answer. First. Love God with all your heart, your mind, your soul. Second. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. You will never do anything that will harm you, in the same way, you should never do anything that will hurt your neighbor.

Q. What makes a senior special?
A. More seniors attend the daily 5 and 6 AM masses than adults and the youth all over the world ever since. We can do it because we do not have to rush in the morning to dress, to eat and to work. The other reason is we try to make up for the lost time we should have given to God; from 6 to 20 years old we were in school, from 21 to 65 years we were busy working. Saturday is family day, groceries, meetings, extra work. After Sunday mass, we stay home to read, sleep, and watch TV. We really not devote enough time for the Lord.

It was 1. Family, 2. Work and 3. Church. After retiring, I have more free time. Knowing that my last years would be in preparation for going home to God, the best time is now while I can move, talk and walk to go to mass every day.
