Synodality in the consecrated and religious life

We celebrated last February 2 the world day for consecrated and religious life. Pope Francis invited each one, especially those in the consecrated and religious life to a life of participation. As Pope Francis in his message on the coming synod on synodality in 2023, “no one, no one, should be excluded or feel excluded from this journey; no one, no one, should think ‘it doesn’t concern me’.”

This is then an exhortation for the whole Church to make the life of the consecrated and religious a life that does not think of its own only but of walking with others in the pursuit of holiness. It is a challenge for those living their religious congregations to work with all the other members of the Church, including the laity, to be of service to the universal Church in his or her own local church. It is also a call for each one to pray for the vocation to the consecrated and religious life. They who are chosen to such a life need the moral, spiritual and financial support of all the members of the Church.

May Mother Mary and Saint Joseph who offered the child Jesus in the Temple who is the light of all, lead all of us to journey together regardless of our status, religious and color towards the Kingdom of God.
