The first Mindanao region Bible virtual symposium

The 1st Mindanao Region Bible Virtual Symposium which was held last Monday, January 24, 2022 was an eye-opener for many of the Bible apostles all over Mindanao. Its fruitfulness is owed to the host, the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao with Mrs. Milagros Punsalan, lay coordinator, to the Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D. who gave his very enriching message, and to the Most Rev. Martin S. Jumoad, D.D. who elaborated the theme “God’s love heals a suffering world” (Lamentations 3:22-24/Romans 8:38-39) with his down-to-earth reflections.

This first ever virtual event proved that workers in the Bible apostolates in our parishes and dioceses, and even in our GKKs are hungry and thirsty of the Word of God. We still have a lot to do in orderQ to become “the hands, the mouth, the feet and the eyes of God” in order to that the Word incarnate may be encountered by each and everyone. We need to be witnesses of God’s unconditional love, a love which is oriented towards others, especially in this time of the pandemic and the recent the typhoon “Odette”.

We commend our parish bible apostles who have tried their best in distributing Bibles, organizing seminars on the Bible, initiating Bible sharing and studies with their spiritual directors that the Bible maybe loved more.
