Archdiocese of Davao hosts First Mindanao Bible virtual symposium
In line with the celebration of the National Bible Month, the Archdiocesan Bible Apostolate of Davao (ABAD) will host the Mindanao Bible Virtual Symposium with the theme: “God’s love heals a suffering world” (Lamentations 3:22-24/Romans 8:38-39). This will be on January 24, Monday. at 330PM.
At first, the plan was only an Archdiocesan activity with invitees from the Dioceses of Digos, Tagum and Mati. But after ABAD invited Most Rev. Martin Jumoad D.D., as a Resource Person, the activity as suggested by Archbishop Jumoad will be extended to all Minadano Bible Apostolate workers.
Archbishop Jumoad is the Archbishop of Ozamiz, the Director of Paul VI Biblical Center for Mindanao and presently Vice-Chairman of the Episcopal Commission on the Biblical Apostolate (ECBA) of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
The regions of DADITAMA (Davao, Digos, Tagum, Mati), DOPIM (Dipolog, Ozamis, Pagadian, Iligan, Marawi), CABUSTAM (Cagayan, Butuan, Sugirigao, Tandag, Malaybalay), ZAMBASULI (Zamboanga, Basilan, Sulu, Ipil) and KIDMACO (Kidapawan, Marbel, Cotabato) will meet virtually for the said symposium for the first time.
The opening salvo will be the Bible Enthronement. The Keynote Address will be given by no less than the Archbishop of Davao, Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, DD. There will be an Open Forum, on the theme, after the talk of the Resource Person. Only those who are registered can join the open forum.
We are also expecting participants from the Archdiocesan Council for the Lay and Integrated Movements (ACLAIM), Pastoral Agencies and Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS).
The registration will be online. For those interested please contact your Parish Bible Apostolate Coordiantor or Mila Punsalan, Archdiocesan ABAD Coordinator. Those who are not registered due to the limited number of 1,000 participants follow and listen on air and livestreaming at DXGN facebook page, DXGN FM 89.9 Spirit FM-Davao. (Mila Punzalan)
