SMPRP St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish Advent Recollection 2021

Realizations from the Parish Advent Recollection

The St. Mary of the Perpetual Rosary Parish conducted a two-day Advent Recollection to ALL Parishioners which was scheduled on December 6-7, 2021 with the following Zonal scheme: on the first day Zones 1-5 and second day Zones 6-10. The theme for this Advent Recollection: Synodal Way of Life Leading to Advent. Our beloved Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Dionisio C. Tabiliran shared his time.

We had our Pre-Sydonal Consultation for this event and we were so blessed with more teachings that were shared to us. It is not only to know the history of our spiritual life through records but to continue and learn more the significance how it is rooted in our daily lives. Our journey will never stop until the will of God for us will finally come.

Our Advent Recollection led our ways to the essence of the ‘Parousia’ the second coming of our Lord. Earthly life will pass away, everything is temporal and our souls will lift up to Heavenly Life in the process how Jesus Christ revealed in us. Knowing more all of these are not enough.

Pope Francis called for a “Synod on Synodality”. As we know the root words are: Syn (with) and Odos (path), Syn & Odos (Synodos). Synodal: it refers to a way of living or working together. It is realized in two elements the specific: 1. Modus Vivendi (manner of living way of life) 2. Et Operandi (way of doing something) of the Church. In a general terms, it is for Ecclesiastical Gathering under Hierarchical authority for the Discussion and Decision of matters relating of Faith, Moral and Discipline.

The theme “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission” teaches us of Jesus Christ’s humility and perseveres for us. He never imposed Himself who He is. He is in Heaven now and we are servants, witnessing and continuing His Holiness called to do God’s will for our brethren in happiness and gratefulness for the Lord. We need to lean our ears to mankind, serve and share ourselves to the Church and proclaim out the Living Word, Jesus Christ, who strengthens and inspires us. God bless us All.
