What do you consider as God’s most beautiful creation?
When we look around us, we can only see God’s goodness in His creation. In the midst of a troubled world, seeing through the eyes of faith allows one to see the beauty of life. DCH Columnist Dr. Nelson Magnaye seeks out these three personalities who share with us their thoughts.

The one reading this is the most beautiful creation of God.
Yes, you read it right! You are God’s most beautiful creation. I believe it because you are created in His image and likeness (Gen. 1:26-27). What could that possibly mean to you today? You might be a mother or father tending to your family in this challenging pandemic. A student who strives hard in online classes to make the parents proud. A friend and companion to a lonely and depressed person. A spouse who faces difficult marital issues. A religious who continues to shepherd a community of believers in the face of today’s Church issues. These are just a few of so many expressions of God’s image and likeness in you and in others.
You have gone through lots of unimaginable hardships and challenges in life, yet you are here. Alive and brave. That is because of God’s love.

I write in gratitude, and in awe. I thank God for motherhood, for my husband, for my 3 millenial children who calls me Nanay and a Gen Z who calls me Mom.
I thank God motherhood all came by natural birth with the kind help of doctors who patiently waited with me for each new life to be born.
I thank God for every mysterious encounter with the Divine as I call on Him alone in my experience of excruciating labor pains at childbirth and as I say, we have a God whose grace makes me withstand pain.
I wake up in awe every morning, gazing at how each of my children grow to be much taller, and better than I am.
I thank God for my family, who understands life is not easy. And I thank my family for leading me closer to God through hardships and victories. At times, we are tested so we can be stronger and recognize again and again that without God we can do nothing.
All these, make family for me God’s most beautiful creation. God made husband and wife blessed through marriage, and children in baptism. It is in the family where a couples’ love for each other transcended to the children transform to what true loving means.
In these present times when more and more the family is threatened at various levels, we hold on to God. In this trying time, our family should be the safest place in the world.
Let us keep the purity of beauty in the family God created. Let this beauty radiate pure goodness around us.

I consider human interaction, its complexities and nuances, as God’s most beautiful creation. We were all created in accordance to God’s unique plan for each one of us. A quick google search would tell us that we only get to meet a relatively few humans in our lifetime, estimates at tens of thousands out of the seven billion. However, the beauty of it is that despite encountering only a few, each one of them get to touch our lives in His ways. Both good and bad interactions we had made us who we are today. I strongly believe that God manifests in the people that we meet, from the strongest of bonds we have, to the most random of exchanges with strangers. We are the connections that we make in this world. With His guidance, we can change and make this world a better place.
