St. Joseph The Worker Parish Updates
Digos City, Davao del Sur – The Parish Pastoral Council convened for their monthly conference last July 18, Sunday, at 1PM. The meeting was presided in full by the parish priest Rev Fr. Sanny Villahermosa DCD and was attended by at least 30 members of the council.
The agenda included the following: contribution to the construction of the Diocesan seminary; completion of the renovation done for CFC Office; and schedules of the First Communion and Confirmation Rites.
The Parish Social Action Ministry (PSAM) confirmed no assembly for members during the feast day of St. James the Apostle; however, a Novena is planned. Furthermore, PSAM also confirmed the holding of Kasaulugan sa Pulong/Holy Mass on GKK’s in the remote areas and the temporary use of the property previously used by Madre Pia School for the Pre-College seminarians.
The parishioners are encouraged to support the needs of the seminarians and the construction of the new section for public candle lighting. Pilgrims are expected to arrive as the St. Joseph Parish is one of the Pilgrim sites/Jubilee Churches in the Diocese. Also taken up during the said meeting was the fundraising campaign of the SocCom Ministry selling Mission shirts and the Seminar-workshop to be hosted by St Joseph for St John Paul 2 Sub-Parish, SJWP and other guest parishes.
