Year of St. Joseph (Part 4)

Pangalawa po, a steward is responsible for the things entrusted to him by God. A steward responsibly manages the things that belongs to God. Pinagkatiwalaan po tayo ng Diyos, we believe in God, God also believe in us. We should be grateful to God and in gratefulness we manage well, we manage responsibly what is entrusted to us. We manage what belongs to God according to Gods purpose, according to God’s desire. Hindi po ayon sa ating kagustuhan, hindi po ayon sa ating kalooban. We manage responsibly the things that God has entrusted to us according to the owner’s purpose, according to the owner’s desires.

Pangatlo po, a steward is accountable for the things that God has entrusted to his care. Mga kapatid, one day, each one of us will be called by God to give an account for how we manage the things that the master has given us. In other words, lahat po tayo sa bandang huli mananagot sa Diyos. Manangot tayo sa Diyos sa mga bagay at tatanungin tayo ng Diyos kung papaano natin pinagyaman, pinag-unlad ang mga bagay na ipinagkatiwala sa atin. A steward is accountable for the things that God has entrusted to his care. Tatanungin natin, what is the scope of stewardship? Ano-ano po yung mga bagay na ipinagkatiwala sa atin ng Diyos? Marami po.

Una, we are stewards of life, katiwala ng buhay, hiram sa Diyos ang ating buhay sabi nga sa isang kanta, at sa huli ibabalik natin ang ating buhay sa Diyos kaya tanungin natin ang ating sarili, pinapahalagahan mo ba ang buhay mo? Pinauunlad mo ba ang buhay mo? Ginagamit mo ba ang buhay mo ayon sa layunin at kalooban ng Diyos? Pangalawa po, we are the stewads of the environment. Ang Diyos ang may-ari ng kalikasan, tayo ay katiwala lamang upang gamitin natin, paunlarin at ingatan ang kalikasan, hindi ito sisirain, hindi ito dudumihan, hindi to aabusuhin, because in the end sabi po natin kanina we will be held accountable before God. Pangatlo po, we are stewards of material treasures. Katiwala po tayo ng mga materyal na bagay, pera, at iba-iba pang mga biyaya na material na ipinagkaloob sa atin ng Diyos. Subalit hindi ito atin, itoy ipinagkatiwala lamang, kaya tanungin natin ang ating mga sarili paano natin ito ginagamit. Ginagamit ba natin ang ating pera, ang ating kayamanan sa kabutihan at ayon sa layunin ng Diyos? O ginagamit natin ang pera sa kasamaan?
