BCBP and Parish feeds the poor

The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP) West with their Chapter Head Mr. Raul Tonogbanua and the Parish of San Pablo in Juna, Subdivision, Matina, Davao City joined forces in the series of the feeding program last January 12, 2021.

This time, the beneficiaries are resident indigents from Santo Nino, Purok 27, Zone 5, Happy Times, in Matina, Davao City.

The activity started with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by Rev. Fr. Allan Rodrigues, Parish Priest of San Pablo.

The BCBP members in coordination with Barangay Kagawad Randy Ponteras and the Gagmayng Kristohanong Katilingban Servant-Leaders (GSL) of Sto Niño GKK started the distribution to the 160 people, both from Catholic and Muslim families instead of the usual lugaw and canned goods.

The BCBP chose to give rice, gulay, monggo and bulad as it is more healthy. They also help farmers as we patronize their products.

This activity was the 7th time since the BCBP initiated. It is their plan to continue extend the program to our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the other GKKs of the parish especially in this time of the pandemic when many are in difficulty.

The BCBP aims to “bring Christ into the marketplace and win the marketplace for Christ.” (Eric Hernandez)
