Trump: A superficial analysis

Ego maniac narcissistic Trump repeatedly said: 1) He is the greatest American President. 2) the only non-racist President; 3) the President most friendly to minorities. 4) He does not rely so much on his advisers because he learns more from TV especially Fox News. Unfortunately, Fox butters him up 24/7 about how great he is compared to Cassius Clay.

5) In his first 2 years (2017-2018) he fired more than 12 advisers ranging from demagogues, political hacks, bootlickers to real knowledgeable professional career government technocrats. In the first 2 years of Clinton’s first term and in the first 2 years of Obama’s first term, the total number of dismissed White House (WH) advisers were less than 3. This shows Clinton and Obama’s stability, maturity and political wisdom. The two like other Democrats chose the best and the brightest for WH jobs from lists made by honest and intelligent panels. For example, Kennedy chose the Bundy brothers and Dean Rusk, all Harvard honor graduates and holding key positions in Harvard University, when they were appointed to top government positions. Trump appointed to top positions in sensitive and powerful offices like the Departments of Finance, Commerce, World Trade, Wall Street executives especially from Goldman Sachs.

6) Former Democrat Presidents Obama and Clinton campaigned for Biden. Not one Republican heavyweight like former President Bush or former Presidential candidate Romney, campaigned for Trump.

7) No top former advisers of Republican Bush, McCain, and Romney were asked or volunteered to work in Trump’s administration.

8) Trump believed in himself so much that he did not ask the help of the Republican establishment except for campaign funds.

9) Sadly, he believes in the Spanish saying, ‘El que no tranza, no avanza.’ meaning he who does not cheat will not go a long way.

10) He forgot the sayings which even an ordinary President knows – “Make friends with people you meet when you go up because you will meet them again when you go down”, and “He who exalts himself shall be humbled.”

11) He did not listen to the center for Disease Control warning, “If we don’t change directions, we are likely to end up where we are headed” (a COVID disaster).

12) Maybe his campaign slogan should have been “support the morally handicapped.”

13) Maybe he should have listened to Yankee’s Yogi Berra who said, ‘The future ain’t what it used to be.’ To his credit Trump truly has courage because to see what is right and not do it, takes real courage. Two sick clichés. Victory has a thousand fathers, defeat is one lousy miserable orphan. He was able to snatch Sinatra defeat from the Jaws of victory. Favorite songs, My Way, Let me try Again, and I’ll never Smile again.
