What are you waiting?

Safe vaccine, local and international flights, social gatherings or good health, freedom from fear, lifting up of curfew and liquor ban? Which of these or what other things are for you worth waiting for?

It is our hope that this advent season, which is a time of celebrating for the waiting of the first coming of Jesus in his birth and his second coming at the end of time, our spirits will learn more the meaning of true waiting. Over and above the material and physical waiting that we possibly have felt, we must learn to wait for the spiritual maturity for each of us. The vulnerability that we all experience in this time of the pandemic must teach us to truly allow the Lord to reign in our hearts. We need to keep on trusting and believing in the dignity and goodness of each one, so that we may be freed from securing ourselves alone but will always be concerned for the good of all.
