National Catechetical Week

Education plays a very important role in the growth of the person and in ordering the society. It should include, first and foremost, spiritual formation.

This week is National Catechetical Week. Just as the Department of Education is doing all that they can to continue to teach our young people even in the midst of the difficulty of online and modular modes of teaching, it is also a challenge for the Church to find ways to continue the catechism in the midst of this situation we are facing. We cannot afford to deprive our young people of the riches of our Catholic faith by doing nothing to bring them the lessons of our faith as we look forward with hope in this dark moment of history.

Let us make good use of our available resources like radio, online and whatever other means we can in order to inculcate in our students the goodness of the Lord. May all of us exercise our mission to be teachers by example.
