Laudato si’ Chronicle

This year, the global reach of the novel coronavirus revealed our shared human nature and the inter-connectivity of our economies, political structures, health care systems, food production chains, energy and transportation systems in devastating ways. The pandemic also demonstrated that the entire web is rooted in the earth and limited by the earth’s capacity to sustain our economic and ecological demands.

Shown in one of the photos is Fr. Ruel Desamparado RCJ (red shirt) of St. John Paul II SubParish joining the locales in promoting fishing using the fishnets. They have to leave at the break of dawn to catch more fish. Through this, they are able to help feed the church workers and volunteers of the church. A noble act especially in this time of economic crisis brought by the pandemic. (SUGID)
