Called to care
Many of us observed that in this trying and difficult time, a lot of us are into planting. This is the time when there is a high demand on pots, plants and places for planting. This is the time when the so called “macho-looking” guys start to spend time in buying beautiful ornamental flowers for their homes. We have realized that many of those plants that we used to neglect and not dare to care are now becoming expensive.
This natural inclination that came out without being told in this time of the pandemic reveals to us the reality that we are created to care. Caring for the environment should be one of our primary concerns since this is our home. Caring for plants and animals, and most of all those who are most needy in this time of crisis should move us into action. It is our hope that over and above our inner passion these days to the care for God’s creation and the desire to care for ourselves for sanity, we show charity and concern for our brothers and sisters who have almost nothing to eat daily.
