ALS journeys despite the pandemic

Full of energy and enthusiasm, the ALS implementers of DepEd Tibungco District in Davao City continues its mission towards literacy to the Out of School youth and Adults within the quarantine period.

District ALS COORDINATOR Mr. Alvin Olaer visited daily the different Community Learning Centers in his jurisdiction: the Barangays of Panacan, Ilang and Tibungco to monitor the Learners’ progress. He occasionally checked the Portfolios of the Learners and advised the teachers on what to do for some problematic output.

The Instructional Managers or ALS Teachers assigned in the particular Community Learning Centers prepared the output to make the visitation orderly.

One that caught the Coordinator’s attention was when he saw the learners heartedly preparing their outputs for checking in a particular CLC at Km. 13 Barangay Panacan under the class of Mr. Al Hariri, one of the Instructional Managers.

Mr. Olaer observed the learners’ dedication to pursue their studies which overwhelmed the teachers to assist them to work hard for their future. “…Laban lang ‘ta ani para sa mga learners,” Sir Arnold Cervantes said.

As of now, implementers dedicated themselves for the learners’ good future as they checked the output particularly the Portfolio as proof of their progress. (Rusty Salazar Corsame)
